Chosen by a prestigious judging panel including Stephen Fry, acclaimed authors Philip Pullman and Alan Bissett and top literary agent Jenny Brown, the novel was a Satire on modern-day America. The cover was to hint at several key elements in the story; botany, baseball and media intrusion.
