Client: The Swiss Cottage
Brief: The Swiss Cottage is traditional wood cottage (circa 1820) in the Scottish Highlands. It’s currently being faithfully restored as a unique holiday destination.
I was approached to design and build a website for the cottage, to promote its renovation initially and ultimately providing information for potential holiday-makers.
Result: Using the distinctive red wood of the cottage as inspiration, I created a rustic / retro feel to the site, helping highlight the unique and quirky nature of the cottage as holiday escape. I created the brand logo from an illustration I made of the cottage and advised the owner of the benefits of building up a following through various social media channels – all of which I design and set up. The cottage is due to open at the end of 2011.
